Description
Healthium Trulon Monofilament Polyamide Non- Absorbable Suturesis a high-performance monofilament polyamide (nylon) non-absorbable surgical suture designed for precision, durability, and minimal tissue trauma. It offers excellent tensile strength, superior elasticity, and smooth handling, making it ideal for soft tissue approximation and ligation in procedures requiring long-term wound support without permanent tensile retention. Trulon elicits minimal tissue reactivity and gradually loses tensile strength over time through hydrolysis, although it is not absorbed. Available in black (dyed with Hematein-black logwood) and blue (dyed with FD&C Blue No. 2), it is sterilised by ethylene oxide and has a shelf life of five years. Trulon is indicated for use in cuticular and subcuticular closure, general surgery, ophthalmic, orthopaedic, and microsurgical applications. It comes in U.S.P. sizes 10-0 to 4, with metric sizes 0.2 to 6, suture lengths from 20 cm to 150 cm, and needle lengths from 6 mm to 90 mm across all standard needle profiles.
