• Dental contoured matrices are made of metal and they are used to support and give form to the restoration during its placement andhanding. They are made of Stainless Steel and in 35-50 micron thickness.
• Gingival four of a class Il cavity is the most vulnerable area where verbang of the restorative material can take place. There is no method control the placernent and contour of the restoration without a matrix wall. Thus matrix bands are recommended for a class Il filling.
