DESCRIPTION

Dental contoured matrices are made of non sticky black Coated metal and they are

used to support and give form to the restoration during its placement and handing.

They are made of Stainless Steel and in 35-50 micron thickness.

Gingival four of a class II cavity is the most vulnerable area where verbang of the

restorative material can take place. There is no method control the placement and

contour of the restoration without a matrix wall. Thus matrix bands are recommended

for a class II filling.
